Daniel S. Brereton, DO

Orthopedic Surgery

Doctor Daniel Brereton is a Southern Californian board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery. He completed his Bachelor of Science at Brigham Young University; he then proceeded with his medical degree at Midwestern University in Arizona.  Dr. Brereton completed his orthopedic residency in Riverside University Health System. He continued his training completing his fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery in Dallas alongside the renowned physicians, Doctors Burkhead, Worrel, and Moen.  He was involved with the care of professional and collegiate athletes during his time in training, including the Mavericks.

Since then, Doctor Brereton has used his talent to treat major league athletes such as the San Diego Legion, and San Diego Gulls. His treatment philosophy focused on the individuality of each of his patients. He understands that each patient has a different set of goals depending on age, activities, and type of injury, therefore, each patient should be receiving individual personalized treatment.

On a personal note, Dr. Brereton enjoys outdoors activities such as rock climbing while listening to some rock and roll. True to his helping spirit, he is also certified in wilderness medicine, making sure he can assist patients regardless of the situation and location.
